We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and collaborative leader to join our organization as Director of Pricing Strategy & Customer Profiles. This role is responsible for leading our pricing governance, driving pricing optimization initiatives, ensuring the accuracy of customer data, and overseeing the billing process to maintain the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence.

As a key cross-functional leader, the Director will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and IT to ensure pricing decisions support profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth. This individual will also manage a team responsible for pricing administration, billing, and customer data accuracy.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the annual and in-year price increase process, ensuring alignment with company strategy and market conditions.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the corporate pricing structure, including segmentation, discount frameworks, and product-specific pricing rules.
  • Monitor market trends, costs, and competitive pricing to recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Define KPIs and dashboards (in collaboration with Business Intelligence) to measure pricing performance and profitability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to ensure consistent application of pricing policies across all customer segments.
  • Provide pricing oversight during contract negotiations with major accounts.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on pricing impacts, customer profitability, and margin improvement opportunities.

Billing Compliance & Process Management

  • Oversee the entire billing cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies, customer agreements, and legal requirements.
  • Establish quality-control mechanisms to reduce billing errors and prevent revenue leakage.
  • Coordinate and resolve billing disputes, working with internal teams to identify discrepancies, analyze root causes, and implement corrective action plans.

Customer Profiles & Data Accuracy

  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of customer profiles, ensuring complete and accurate information across systems (CRM, ERP, billing).
  • Establish standards and governance for customer data quality, ensuring alignment with sales and customer service processes.
  • Work closely with IT and the ERP team to optimize data flows and reduce manual entry.

Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of pricing analysts, billing specialists, and data administrators.
  • Define team priorities, manage workload, and ensure adherence to performance and quality standards.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify training needs and invest in upskilling team members in areas such as pricing analytics, ERP systems, and customer data management.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Lead or contribute to transformation projects related to pricing automation, ERP/data integration, and billing modernization.
  • Implement best practices in pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and data governance.
  • Propose and execute initiatives to streamline and automate processes, reducing manual work and increasing accuracy.

To perform, you need to :

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    (Master’s degree or MBA is an asset.)
  • 7–10+ years of relevant experience in pricing, revenue management, billing, finance, or commercial operations.
  • 3–5+ years of proven management experience, leading cross-functional or analytical teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in pricing models, margin analysis, and cost structures.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Infor M3, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and BI tools.
  • Understanding of customer segmentation, pricing governance, and data-quality processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels.
